Released by UK label Champion Records 'Show Me Love' bridged the gap between Soul and House which had been featuring many HipHop MC's and samples, so Robin S entered the top 10 of both UK and US charts plus no.7 on R&B charts on and off over the duration of 3 years where the single found itself being re-released time and time again with remixes and underground dubs for the clubs. It became one of the most popular house records in the UK and proving it's timeless power continues to get the crowd singing at the top of their voices at London Groove parties in the city.
In 2008 Swedish House Mafia member Steve Angello & Laidback Luke did a rework of the "Show Me Love" pushing it into the Tropical/Progressive house genre that was picking up serious pace and helped Robin S once again re-enter the charts at no.1 topping dance charts, and dominating the playlist of superstar DJs at all the huge festivals that summer. The song was also sampled by Jason Derulo on his 2011 song "Don't Wanna Go Home", which we would all rather forget as it was a terrible song. However Chris Brown & Kid Ink cleverly sampled the song for their 2013 R&B hit 'Show Me' produced by DJ Mustard.
No matter if its a wedding, birthday party, hen night, BBQ or regular club event 'Show Me Love' continues to liven up dancefloors injecting people with that feel good. So we salute all involved with this timeless House classic, long may it live and show us all love.
