Trend Twins: Naomi Watts VS. Calista Flockheart

With all the extravagent gowns we're used to seeing at awards ceremonies, sometimes the best way to stand out is to strip your look back to a simple silhouette, just as Naomi Watts and Calista Flockheart have done for the Oscars.  Choosing to go against the trend of glitzy frocks, these two ladies chose understatement rather than showy bling, using full length short sleeve white dresses to make a stand against red carpet excess.   If you're looking to go against the crowds as you party in London, try the less is more approach and you'll never have to try too hard to capture everyone's attention again!

Top Of The Chops: Maria Menounos

One of our favourite looks from this year's Oscars coverage has to be this adorable plaited updo worn by American presenter Maria Menounos.  Framing her beautiful features to perfection, this elegantly weaved plait may be at home on the red carpet, but it would be equally stylish for keeping our hair out of our way when we hit that London Groove club in the city.  She may have been reporting, but we think she stole the show!

Face the Music: Kim Kardashian

If you're in the habit of keeping up with the Kardashians, you'll be familiar with Kim's sultry bronzed makeup preferences, but when she stepped out to Elton John's Oscar viewing party this week, the trademark gooey lips were out, and a sophisticated red lip was in.  The sculpted cheeks and groomed brows remained, paired with an upmarket liquid liner look. Add a fluttering of extravagent false lashes and you're set for that London Groove party, where you can show off your own makeup makeover!  If these are the results, let's hope Kim steps out without Kanye more often!

Top Of The Chops: Sofia Vergara

We know that jealousy isn't an attractive quality, but rest your eyes on Sofia Vergara's immaculate tumbling locks and we defy you not to feel a twinge of the green eyed monster!  Looking flawless at the Vanity Fair Oscars party, the gorgeous actress stepped out with honey blonde layers highlighted to perfection, framing her face with voluminous layers.  We're determined to capture this stunning hairstyle when we're on our way out to London Groove's clubs in the city... and to inspire hair envy ourselves!

Make Mine A Triple: Oscars Special

It was a vintage year for fashion at the Oscars, and anyone who stayed up to watch the Academy Award coverage was rewarded with ethereal gowns galore.  Pastels, delicate shimmer and floaty fabrics were the big winners at this year's ceremony, with big hitters such as Best Actress Cate Blanchett and Angelina Jolie choosing soft and feminine looks for the biggest night in the social calender.  We might not be able to wear one of these beauties when we're clubbing in London, but we can dream...
