House of Disco presents: Greg Wilson Luxury at MODEMODE formerly known as Subterania in West London has been hosting some amazing parties with the focus on Berlin style clubbing.

Every now again old skool parties such as The Throwback Party host a huge bank holiday jam spinning hip hop, soul, funk, r&b classics loved across London Groove parties, but generally the venue has been packed with dance music lovers. The House of Disco have finally teamed up with the West London club to bring some high-energy feel good music.

Greg Wilson is one of the most respected Disco selectors having spun at events around the world and his knowledge of disco is unrivalled with a huge collection rare grooves which he’ll be gigging into on Saturday 18th September.

Joining Greg will be the talented producer ‘Luxxury’ whose creations and special edit’s have kept him busy on with his European tour so between these two gentlemen plus House of Disco resident ‘Magnier’.

Entry is priced at £10 in advance and £15 on the door so get ready to explore the fun world of disco and house which will have you dancing all night long at the Acklam Road club so book now or miss out on an exciting clubbing experience.

Brixton Club formerly known as Plan B reopens as: PHONOXNeighbourhood club Plan B in Brixton closed suddenly this summer with residents asking questions in June wondering what would become of its musical home of Hip Hop, UK Garage, House and more loved across London R&B clubs and beyond.

The venue was bought out by the powerful Columbo Group behind popular venues such as clubs XOYO in Shoreditch, The Nest in Dalston, plus pubs like ‘Paradise by way of Kensal Green’ and food chain ‘The Blues Kitchen’.

PHONOX opened its doors for a trial run over the weekend and will launch officially on September 12th with no big name DJ but simply focusing on its newly signed 25 yr old resident DJ Jasper James spinning techno each and every Saturday.

The venue doesn’t want the venue to be drowned in a pool of big names instead it wants real clubbers to come out purely for a music experience. However Friday’s will see special guest DJs spinning such as respected names on the Dance, Disco, House music circuit like chart topping Julio Bashmore, music connoisseur Giles Peterson, New York’s Masters at Work legend Kenny Dope and the in demand Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs over the next month

Entry is free between 6 -10pm then £5 in advance or £10 on the door with the party rocking until 4am, so if you love dance/house/techno music be sure to check out PHONOX in Brixton.

Jeremy Sassoon is presenting ‘The Ray Charles Project’ where the musician revisits the ‘genius’ of Mr Charles with an entertaining tracklist of classics from ‘Georgia on my Mind’, ‘What I’d Say’, ‘I Gotta Woman’, to rare grooves like ‘The Jealous Kind’, ‘I Don’t Need No Doctor’, ‘Hardhearted Hannah’ and many more to name only a few.

Ray Charles has inspired countless musicians, and singers even causing hip hop producers to sample his works with Kanye West ’Golddigger’ being one of the most loved reworks played across London Groove Soul Saturdays Parties at Yager Bar.

The Ray Charles project will be featuring some the best Jazz, Blues and soul performers including a 4-piece brass section, backing vocalists, and arrangements by saxophonist Iain Dixon whose credits include BBC Big Band, Bryan Ferry and more.

Now much loved singer Beverley Knight is continuing her reign on Broadway having earned praise for her role as Whitney Houstons ‘Rachel Marron’ in the Bodyguard Musical in 2014, Beverley is now taking over from Nicole Scherzinger role in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ‘Cats The Musical’.

A first look has been revealed of the singer in costume courtesy of Cats the Musical Twitter page, where the singer will pulling in huge crowds night after night at the London Palladium which is every singers dream.

Beverly Knight will be dressed from head to toe in stunning costumes as she stars in the longest running West End musical of all time. The singer recently finished starring in Memphis the Musical opposite 2010 X Factor winner Matt Cardle and is excited to join the Cats team.

Get Ready For The Dalston Summer Block PartyNorth London’s The Nest is gearing up to join in the celebration of Notting Hill Carnival with its own Block Party taking over the street events with two venues including Efes Snooker Club opening its doors for the festivities.

As the tropical sounds of soca, dub, reggae, steel pans and more fill the streets of Notting Hill, Dalston will be lifting its hands to the sounds of UK Garage with the legendary Heartless Crew, and Wookie headlining whats tipped to the be the The Nest’s party of the year.

You can expect a diverse range of music with Heartless Crew influences ranging from reggae, dancehall, jungle and of course garage who alongside Wookie the bassline king hits like ‘Battle’ and ‘Scrappy’ will be in heavy rotation as heard across London Groove Soul Saturday parties.
