Make Mine A Triple: Rita Ora, Gigi Hadid and Irina Shayk

While the Oscars was a refined affair full of elegant gowns and graceful beauties, the Vanity Fair after party was a lot raunchier, with guests tying for the title of most controversial dress.

Contenders included British singer Rita Ora, Gigi Hadid and model Irina Shayk, who all used cutout detailing and sheer panels to try and shock the waiting paps. Amid a sea of flashbulbs, Rita and Irina stepped out in full length skin tight body stockings, using carefully placed sections of opaque fabric to protect their modesty, although there was still plenty of bum, leg and side boob to be seen.

Gigi toned things down only slightly, using swirls of fabric to cover her cleavage. Simple hair and a distinct lack of accessories added to this nearly naked look, although a flowing train was used by Rita and Irina to add even more drama.

This look is purely for the super confident, or for those with a point to prove... with Irina being newly single, we can only imagine how Cristiano Ronaldo felt when he saw these pics.  Gutted!

Make Mine A Triple: Dita Von Tease, Kat Graham and Nicole Scherzinger

The ladies of the night were out in force at Elton John's infamous Oscar viewing party, with burlesque star Dita Von Tease, The Vampire Diaries actress Kat Graham and singer Nicole Scherzinger going over to the dark side in flowing black gowns.

With so many light and airy gowns on display at the Academy Awards itself, those with the other hottest ticket in town went for a more gothic approach on Hollywood's biggest night, using netting and spooky detailing to give Morticia Addams a run for her money.

Kat and newly single Nicole chose to slash their necklines and expose plenty of cleavage, while Dita opted for a criss cross mesh to retain her modesty.

Darker than dark eye makeup was a must, with Kat and Dita also going for blood red talons.  Slicked down hair went perfectly with this trend, and we love the creepy evil tree branch detailing making its way across the panels of Nicole's dress.

Tinsel town may have been celebrating with golden statues and sunny smiles, but at Elton's party, the lady was most definitely a vamp!

Got the February blues?  These top celebs show there’s still a reason to go glam, on the London Groove blog!

Make Mine A Triple: Chloe Moretz, Candice Swanepoel and Brooklyn Haley

This tricky time of year in January and February can prove to be a really stale period for our wardrobes... Christmas is long gone, and spring and summer still seem like an impossible dream as we bundle up against wind, rain and the occasional snow blizzard.

So why not forget the February blues rules and keep the bling alive by donning your glammest gold dress during the dull grey evenings!  Give December's party season look another outing, just like Candice Swanepoel, Chloe Grace Moretz and Brooklyn Haley, who've all given up dressing appropriately for the time of year in favour of donning little metallic dresses.

Chloe has opted for high fashion lace, while Brooklyn is brightening up a quiet February with intricate sequin patterns.

Candice has gone for shine in a sleeveless skater dress, with all three ladies inspiring us to forget the miserable weather and get those bare legs out!

Dust off your tiny dresses, make an effort, and head out into the London nightlife to liven up that lull between Valentine's Day and summer.  If it's good enough for a Victoria's Secret angel, it's good enough for us!

Love the glitz and glam of a night out? Try gold sequins to really shine like these three celebs..

As one of the most glam nights in music, it's no surprise that attendees of the Grammy Awards go all out in their choice of outfits, and this year there was plenty of bling on display in the form of glittery gold dresses.

Singer Katy Perry, rap WAG Kim Kardashian and former 106 & Park host Rocsi Diaz all opted for metallic gowns, ensuring all eyes were on them as they shone under the lights and paparrazi flashbulbs.

Fresh from her Super Bowl success, Katy opted for beaded fringing in a modest flapper inspired dress, giving her look plenty of movement as she shimmied down the red carpet.

Meanwhile, Kim and Rocsi went for a full on cleavage assault, with Miss Diaz choosing a traditional low v neck sequin floor length style, and the most famous Kardashian sister selecting a very glitzy robe.

In Kim and Kanye's world, there's no such thing as too much of anything, so the low front and crotch high split came as no surprise, complete with glitter ball effect fabric, gold belt, sparkly trim and embellished pockets. We wouldn't expect anything less!

Beyonce, Jessie J, Ciara and Nicki Minaj all got the black dress memo for last night’s Grammys… catch up on todays blog!

Make Mine A Triple: Grammys Special

Black gowns were the only thing to be seen in at this year's 2015 Grammy Awards, as a host of top celebs enjoyed the biggest night in music in slinky dark dresses.

In fact, the only major players who didn't seem to get the memo were Rihanna in pink, Taylor Swift in aqua marine and Katy Perry and Kim Kardashian, who both opted for gold.

Beyonce, Ciara, Nicki Minaj, Meghan Taylor, Ixya Herrera and Brit abroad Jessie J all went over to the dark side, although being the Grammys, a plain number simply wouldn't cut it.

Intricate embellishment came in the form of plenty of sequins and beaded detailing, ensuring that music's biggest stars shone and glimmered as they collected their gongs.  Sheer panelling and peekaboo sections were also a big deal, with Meghan and Jessie making the most of transparent skirts to show off their pins, while Beyonce and Nicki took the plunge in cleavage exposing necklines.

With award season almost coming to an end for another year, there's only the big one to go, and the countdown is well and truly on... bring on the Oscars!
