London RnB Clubs and Nightlife Page

Our guide to the some of the more popular London RnB clubs and nights that the capital has to offer.

Tourist and residents in the city are always on the hunt for London RnB clubs however they are scarce especially on the weekends and often flooded with students from the age of 18-20 looking for a cheap night out that's packed with cheap alcohol and DJs spinning your average top 40 anthems and club classics.

However, if you're into your RnB and love RnB parties then we have listed some of the best and worst RnB nights the city has to offer.

Shaftesbury Avenue is home to the Rainforest Café which never fails to disappoint the student market as it serves up DJs from top radio stations such as Kiss 100, Choice FM and 1Xtra. Partying around Piccadilly doesn't get any better than this on a Saturday night although there is usually a strong police presence outside the venue to ensure the crowd doesn't get too rowdy which is unacceptable in London's West End and across the London nightlife scene in general. Of course Rainforest Café has to fight off competition which is located literally next door as Bar Rumba continues to re-build it's reputation as one of the top London RnB clubs as well as offering Latino nights, School Disco's, Fancy dress and even comedy events.
Across the road is a huge DJ bar called The Shaftesbury which again puts on RnB nights throughout the week so if your searching high and low for free entry or happy hours then look no further than these venues which are true student magnet. Their midweek RnB, house and pop parties are causing a stir with the happy hour kicking off from 7pm till late, so you can guzzle till you drop. But not all the fun is happening just on Shaftesbury Avenue.

Just a stones throw down the road is Leicester Square where the infamous Zoo Bar and Club hosts a number of events and RnB nights from Monday to Sunday such as Party Hard or Go Home, Delicious Thursdays, Game on and more with DJs spinning RnB, chart anthems and more making these mid week events a favorite amongst tourists and students alike looking for London RnB clubs and bars and with free entry until 10pm it's a must!

Greek Street in Soho is home to the legondary Moonlighting Club which boasts one of the longest running RnB club nights in the capital and has planted its roots firmly on Soho's Greek Street having witnessed various generations partying to some of the most multi-cultural anthems you'll find in the nightclubs in London hence why Moonlighting is still a busy venue that people flock to especially for mid-week clubbing.

If you'd rather party in West London then why not choose Cherry Jam which has fast become one of the best RnB clubs in London on a Wednesday night with the celebrity attending night called 'Different Strokes'. The atmosphere is pumped up every week by Celebrity DJs Manny Norte from Kiss FM and UK Garage star Lonyo keeping the crowd dancing to upfront RnB and hip hop.

Over in Grenwich The world famous O2 not only hosts concerts, and restaurants but also boasts one of the biggest London nightclubs - the Inc Club which hosts numerous urban events from Soulful House music to RnB which attracts Choice FM listeners every Friday night for their hugely successful club night to party amongst music lovers and radio DJ's alike with beautiful ladies and tasty cocktails in flow..

If you're still in search of RnB clubs in London but the congestion of the West End doesn't appeal to you on the weekend then there's always the City of London to consider.
Up until a few years ago the City of London was like a ghost-town on the weekend but now most of the city bars are competing with the London clubs and are open for business on the weekend. These venues usually get booked by private club promoters for more specialist club nights which range from African, Polish, German, Ghanian and Mauritian to Sri-Lankan, Oriental and Asian nights.
The crowds that attend these events are very clued up and know that they'll not get the particular style of music or community spirit at some of the more commercial clubs in London and so choose to attend these club nights which are usually run on a rotational bi-weekly or monthly basis. If you're thinking of attending one of these club nights it's best to check with the club promoter running that particular night for bookings etc as the venues tend to leave it up to them for bookings and ticket sales etc.

Here at London Groove we're big fans of the City of London for it's ease of access and parking plus there are no street touts like in the West End trying to entice you into the clubs their working for.
We've now been in the City of London for over two and a half years running our Soul Saturdays weekly club night first at Prohibition and now at The Anthologist since April 2010 which is by far the classiest venue in the City for Saturday night clubbing.
Due to the popularity of The Anthologist we also had to expand last summer and take on another venue and went with Drake and Morgan's sister venue to The Anthologist, The Refinery on the South Bank where we've now been running our Soul Saturdays weekly RnB club night every weekend for over a year now.

Friday nights in the City of London used to always just be about after work drinks for the city suits but now many of the bars open later and run club nights till 2 or 3am and the City now sees a number of people travelling in from the suburbs to party in these bars which are seen as a nice alternative to some of the more pricey London nightclubs.

Our latest venture into the City of London is our Soul Fridays club night at Mustard Bar which is conveniently located opposite St. Pauls Catherdal where we do exactly that, turn a bar night into a club night that goes on till 3am and is packed every Friday. Again our customers prefer it to the more expensive London clubs in the West End.

With RnB music now dominating the charts and becoming more and more mainstream, wherever you're out enjoying the London nightlife at one of the many nightclubs in London or one of the late night DJ bars you're bound to hear some of the more commercial RnB tracks that are out there at the moment and we hope you've found this informative and possibly interesting, happy partying.
