Leave The Car At Home
Leave the car at home
Everyone has seen the adverts for drink driving, but do they really make people stop and think when they reach for their keys?
Most people have the “It won’t happen to me attitude” but it could and does happen to the least expecting people. If you’re on a night out, the best options are to just leave your car at home or to stay clear of alcohol altogether and just enjoy the London nightlife. Many people think they can judge when they are, or are not, over the legal limit and usually, the drunker you are the more invincible you think you become. There are many factors that determine how much you can drink before you are over the limit;
- your weight, sex, age, metabolism
- stress levels
- an empty stomach
- the amount and type of alcohol
The legal limit in the UK is 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. But alcohol affects different people in different ways, even a small amount can affect your ability to drive safely.
The effects of alcohol include:
- slower reactions
- increased stopping distance
- poorer judgement of speed and distance
- reduced field of vision
