Amy Winehouse In Court
Amy Winehouse Appeared in Court Yesterday (24/07/09) after Claims that She “Forcefully Punched” a Dancer.
Amy Winehouse who is always in the limelight for being out on the London nightlife scene is on trial for common assault after being accused of attacking 30 year old Sherene Flash at a Berkley Square charity ball last September. Sherene stated at the City of London Magistrates’ court that Amy “punched me forcefully in my right eye. I started crying. I was shocked”. Sherene further presumed the star to be intoxicated “on drugs” at the time. Amy insists Sherene drunkenly “lunged” at her for a photograph, which caused Amy to “push” Sherene out of fear, as Sherene at 5 foot 7 inches tall towered over Amy’s petite frame. Amy stated “She moved her left arm to lean down and tried to pose next to me. Her friend came round in front of us and started taking a picture. I was like, ‘Do I get a choice in this, hello?’ I pushed her up, like away. It was more like an indication of ‘leave me alone, I’m scared of you.’ She was bigger than me. I pushed my arm upwards. I just wanted to get her away. I was scared.” Amy used her marital name ‘Amy Civil’ at the trial yesterday, yet the first stage of her divorce from husband Blake Fielder-Civil was granted last week. The trial continues.
