ENVY is a new private members nightclub which opened in London’s Notting Hill in Summer 2007. A nightclub for those living and working in West London, ENVY is also a destination venue for savvy party-goers from across the capital. The owners’ aim is to provide a high-end location for an upmarket crowd looking for smart service and quality music in an upscale environment. ENVY will be a place for the clientele to make their own, a timeless venue which will never go out of fashion.
The site, set over four floors in Woodfield Road, W9, existed for many years as Woody’s, one of the area’s most popular and enduring night clubs. With its laid-back attitude and diverse club nights, Woody’s was an institution in West London and was a firm favourite with a cross-section of clientele. Woody’s closed in 2006 and has now undergone an extensive £1 million refurbishment to become ENVY.
ENVY provides a variety of entertainment over its four club floors. The top floor is a dedicated VIP and members area, with dedicated DJ area, sunken champagne tables with light installations, luxurious furnishings and hard-wood flooring.
The middle floor of the night club is dedicated to R&B and funk music. It is the biggest drinking and dancing space in the venue and has a raised stage for live music, several tables for hire and an exotic, private boudoir.
The ground floor specialises in cutting-edge house and dance music and is dominated by a raised DJ “lectern” and one of the biggest mirror balls in any venue in town. The basement, due to be open soon will be West London’s first late-license restaurant, serving an ever-evolving menu late into the night.
ENVY has a capacity of 350 and opens from 9pm-3am, Tuesday through Sunday. As an exclusive venue, entry will only be open to members and those on the guest list.
Membership is by application only and costs £500 per annum.
