Independance Day
Independence Day, July 4th in London is to be a huge affair and this year it falls on a Saturday. Londoners are being given the opportunity to celebrate in US style whilst enjoying the festivities in London nightclubs, bars and restaurants all over the city.
Many restaurants across London are set to offer a truly American experience and everything to be served will celebrate all that is traditionally American.
Many of the London nightclubs and bars are set to host all-American celebrations with live music which pays homage to our transatlantic cousins.
Barbecue picnic
If heading into the park and avoiding the packed restaurants is more your thing, then celebrate the 4th July with an outdoor picnic with friends. If you’re an American a long way from home, you will feel at home with burgers, hotdogs, a BBQ and beer.
Not only this, but the event is also to be marked with a range of large picnic areas in and around London. One of the largest of these is to be the picnic in Portman Square.
The entertainment at Portman Square includes family fun during the day with face painting, ice cream and American food and in the evening the celebrations move inside to the nightclubs and bars in the area.
The Portman Square picnic takes place from 1pm to 5pm and is open to anyone who wishes to attend for a small ticket fee.
American beer festivals will take place across the city and into the early hours of the next day.
